Usher’s father has tragically passed away, MediaTakeOut.com reports.

According to the news outlet, a source close to the RnB superstar - full name Usher Raymond IV - has confirmed that Usher Raymond III died suddenly of causes yet-to-be-determined on Friday.

Usher, his wife Tameka and mother Jonetta Patton are said to have been present at the Atlanta, Georgia hospital when he passed.

Patton split from Raymond Snr. - who battled a hefty cocaine addiction - shortly after Usher was born.
