Jamie Lynn Spears is the latest celebrity to become the subject of PETA’s affection.
The animal rights groups latest ad campaign has used the 16-year-old’s shock pregnancy to urge pet owners to spay and neuter their dogs and cats.
Whilst PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk claims the ad was filmed before the teen announced her pregnancy last month - she hopes people make the connection.
"Just as (Jamie Lynn's mother) Lynne Spears is under scrutiny because of her underage daughter's pregnancy, people who fail to spay and neuter their animals should also be feeling the heat," claims Newkirk.
"No one should be bringing more animals into the world when millions of deserving, wonderful dogs and cats are dying for good homes."
The short film shows a 16-year-old girl being encouraged to “pop out babies” by her parents.
When the appalled girl asks, "What if I get pregnant?" the parents respond by urging her to "pop out all the kids you can".
The ad, which has been posted on PETA's official website, will be broadcast on Jamie Lynn's local ABC affiliate in her native Louisiana, TV network WGNO next week.
