Lionel Richie is full of pride when it comes to talking about the latest addition to the Richie clan – his granddaughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden.
The music legend – who celebrated the birth of daughter Nicole Richie’s first child on Tuesday – claims that he still taking time to adjust to his new status.
"While it may take me a moment to adjust to being called grand dad, I am extremely happy and proud of Nicole and Joel," said Richie.
"Harlow Winter Kate Madden, the newest and most beautiful addition to the Richie clan, is a lucky little girl," he added. "She was surrounded by a great deal of love at that hospital as she entered the world. Nicole and Joel are going to be wonderful parents."
Earlier this week Madden expressed his baby joy on his website, claiming that little Harlow "looks so much like her mom it's crazy."
"I am finally home with my beautiful girlfriend and our brand new little daughter," blogged Madden. "She is 19 inches long and growing everyday already. We are so blessed to have this beautiful little baby in our lives."
