Nicole Richie’s boyfriend Joel Madden can’t contain his excitement when it comes to talking about their new daughter, Harlow Winter.

The Good Charlotte front man has already taken to his DCMA Collective Web site to declare his baby joy.

"I am finally home with my beautiful girlfriend and our brand new little daughter," blogged Madden. "She is 19 inches long and growing everyday already. We are so blessed to have this beautiful little baby in our lives."

Madden – who claims the baby "looks so much like her mom its crazy" – also revealed the ups and downs of becoming a first-time dad.

"She eats like a little maniac and she's really sweet," he continued. "She barely ever cries, even when daddy is changing her diaper, and believe me I suck when it comes to diapers, but I'm learning! I can't wait to show off some pictures."

Joel also took the opportunity to request that fans donate to the Richie-Madden Foundation.

"We apologize we weren't accepting and gifts/cards/calls at the hospital," he concludes, "but if you'd like to send something, we'd rather you make a donation to the Richie-Madden Foundation, which we started in Harlow Winter's honor."
