It looks like Jamie Lynn Spears’ pregnancy couldn’t have come at a better time with Nielsen Media Research figures revealing that more than double the normal number of viewers tuned in to watch the season finale of her show Zoey 101.

Despite the controversy surronding Spears' shock pregnancy - 7.3 million people tuned in to watch the final episode of the third season on Friday.

The TV network have also confirmed it will begin transmitting the show's fourth season in February, despite speculation that the fourth series of the Nickelodeon series was facing the axe.

“No truth to that rumor," the show's spokesman Dan Martinsen told MTV News. "We have not made any change to our schedule."
