The ‘celebrity’ contestants who will be taking part in this year’s Dancing On Ice have been revealed – and the list is heavy on has-beens from the world of pop.
Pop Idol runner up Gareth Gates - whose recent comeback efforts have failed to set the charts alight - will be dancing with professional partner Maria Filippovic.
Singer Samantha Mumba will also be hoping to revive her music career, as will Suzanne Shaw, who is best known as one fifth of short-lived band, Hearsay.
Joining them in the celebrity ice skate-off will be:
Natalie Pinkham (TV presenter and Prince Harry party pal)
Linda Lusardi (70s Page 3 model)
Sarah Green (veteran TV host).
Greg Rusedski (retired tennis star)
Steve Backley (javelin champ)
Michael Underwood (GMTV reporter)
Chris Fountain (Hollyoaks actor)
Tim Vincent (former Blue Peter presenter)
Aggie Mackenzie (How Clean Is Your House presenter)
Former Olympic ice-skating champions Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will be back to coach the celebs for their weekly performances during the live shows, hosted by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
