The LAPD has denied reports that they were called to Britney Spears’ Beverly Hills home on Thurday night because the crazed pop mess had a gun.
A U.K. tabloid reported at the weekend that Kevin Federline sparked the three-hour stand-off when he alerted police that the singer was in possession of a firearm and might use it against her two boys, before turning it on herself.
K-Fed was said to have panicked after realising that his ex-wife kept the handgun - a Beretta 92FS - in the master bedroom where she was holding their kids, Jayden James, one, and Sean Preston, two.
Kevin reportedly rang his lawyers who then called in the authorites.
However, a spokesperson for the LAPD insists that, “There was no gun involved - that’s the first we’ve heard of this.”
The rep continues: “The police were called out to Britney Spears’ residence to investigate custody issues over her children - not because there was a gun in the house.”
Despite allegedly testing clear for illegal drugs in hospital, a source told the News of the World that Brit had downed a powerful cocktail of prescription medicines in the hours leading up to the drama, including:
TWO bottles of Nyquil
TWENTY diet pills, including her favourite brand Clenbuterol.
EIGHTEEN herbal uppers specially ordered over the internet.
EIGHTEEN Piriton antihistamine tablets
TWELVE Vicodin painkillers
TEN sleeping pills
UP TO eight antacid reflux tabs
ONE bottle of stomach upset mixture Pepto Bismol
TEN Zantac tablets, an anti-hangover and indigestion drug.
SIX Ritalin, for her attention deficit disorder issues.
TWO empty bottles of painkiller Oxycontin, known as hillbilly heroin, were also found at her home.
On Friday, Brit was stripped of her rights to visit her sons until a review hearing on January 14th.
