Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has donated his first ever pair of spectacles to a new Holocaust exhibition.

Radcliffe, whose mother is Jewish and first wore the glasses aged six, is one of a number of stars who have donated their specs to the new exhibition soon to be opening in Liverpool.

Yoko Ono, Stephen Fry and Jerry Springer also gave up their glasses to echo the pictures of thousands of spectacles piled up at Auschwitz belonging to victims of the Holocaust.

National Holocaust Day is on the 27 January.
