Kerry Katona’s New Year got off to an explosive start when her NYE house party erupted in a furious catfight.

The former Atomic Kitten 'singer' was ringing in 2008 with friends and family at her Cheshire home when things turned ugly with her mother-in-law Marilyn Croft.

A pal said: "Kerry hadn't spoken to her husband Mark's mum for ages and it's fair to say that the atmosphere between them isn't the best.

"And things got worse as the evening went on and before long they were having words.

"Marilyn began shouting at her, saying, 'Who do you think you are?' Kerry was having a go back and then a scuffle broke out."

The brawl ended with Kerry kicking her mother-in-law out of the party.

MTV probably couldn’t believe their luck - a camera crew from the station is currently following the star of the Iceland ads around for a fly-on-the-wall show and captured the whole incident on tape.
