Lindsay Lohan To Recieve 'Contribution To Film' Award

We thought it was coming up to New Year’s not the start of April, but apparently Lindsay Lohan’s picking up an award for her "contribution to cinema” tomorrow.

The party-loving 21-year-old is in Italy to attend the Capri Film Festival, where she will pick up the award at a black-tie dinner tomorrow night.

We’re not sure whether it was the Truffaut-esque ‘Mean Girls’, the Kafka-like ‘Freaky Friday’ or the playful tinges of Godard-inspired European experimentalism embodied in ‘Herbie: Fully Loaded’ which moved the judges to honour Lindsay’s unforgettable contribution to the big screen.

Or perhaps she was the only star they could persuade to turn up on an Italian Island over New Year’s.

Whatever, we’re assured the ‘Capri’ Film Festival isn’t a misspelling.
