Billie Piper And Fiance's Family At War Over Wedding

Billie Piper’s family have reportedly enfuriated her future in-laws by making her upcoming wedding an ‘adults only’ event.

Laurence Fox’s family - who form an acting dynasty including James and Emilia Fox – are said to be furious with the decision to ban children from the wedding on New Year’s Eve.

Stage and screen producer Robert Fox - who has two young children with his second wife - is said to be particularly furious.

A source tells The Mail, “Robert is very upset and has made his opinions known. The Fox family are very traditional and think that weddings should be all about having children around.

"They obviously don't want screaming kids running around the church and wreaking havoc, but the whole thing has gone down like a lead balloon."

Further bad feeling from the Fox family has been stoked by Billie and Laurence consideration of a magazine deal for the wedding.

Although the couple’s motivation for a possible deal is said to have come from a desire to maintain security, the possibility has gone down badly with the Fox’s - who are still put out pictures from Emilia’s marriage to Jared Harris were published in Hello! two years ago.

"She and Laurence discussed getting a magazine deal but it was sniffed at by the Fox family and immediately ruled out,” explains the source. “Now they are having to use local police to ensure no one crashes the event."
