Reports have surfaced which claim Christina Aguilera has scheduled a Caesarean section for January 10.

The now 27-year-old singer - who is expecting her first child with her music executive husband Jordan Bratman - has purportedly decided to go for the operation to avoid the pain involved with a natural childbirth.

"Christina has a C-section scheduled for January 10 but she might need to push the date of the delivery up” claims a source close to the Dirrty singer.

The insider also revealed that despite having a baby shower earlier this month, Christina is planning yet another shindig for family and close friends.

"Christina will be having a second baby shower at the Hotel Bel-Air over Christmas with just her friends” added the insider.

As for naming their first born, Christina and Jordan are rumoured to be considering the names Jackson, Jake and Max for their first-born.

Another insider claims: "Although Christina and Jordan want to make up their minds on a name before the birth, part of them wants to wait and see what the baby's personality is like before assigning a name for life."
