Madonna’s baby drama may be over for good, with 'leaked' government reports revealing that the singer will be able to keep custody of her foster son David Banda.
"Mrs. Ritchie presents a confident and able parent” reads the government document via In Touch magazine “There are clear indications that David is becoming a happy, secure toddler."
According to reports in September, the 49-year-old - who is married to film director Guy Ritchie – faced the possibility of being denied permanent adoption, something that the singers publicist, Liz Rosenberg strenuously denied.
However the leaked government report reveals the singer has been deemed a 'confident' and 'able' parent by Malawi adoption officials.
The document continues: "It is in the best interest of the child to remain in her care."
The 49-year-old singer - who has an 11-year-old daughter Lourdes from her relationship with her personal trainer Carlos Leon, and a seven-year-old son Rocco with Guy - filed adoption papers for two-year-old David on October 10 2006.
She was granted temporary foster care and flew David back to Britain, where she lives in London with her family, on October 16.
In September, Madonna was visited by Malawi adoption officials who filed a report as to whether she should be allowed to formerly adopt David.
