Amy Winehouse Receiving Treatment For Drug Addiction

Amy Winehouse is receiving medical help for her drug addiction, according to her publicist.

Despite pleas from friends and family, the troubled singer has resisted going into rehab to tackle her drink and drug demons.

However, in a statement released yesterday, Amy’s rep said that the Rehab star is currently in a program supervised by doctors following the cancellation of all public appearances (bar early morning sweet runs) until the end of the year.

The rep says: “It's a really difficult time and she's been channeling it into her music."

Amy is also hoping to be fit for the upcoming Grammy Awards.

Her spokesperson tells People: "Amy is thrilled to be nominated for 6 Grammys and is very much hoping to attend.

“She is determined to be ready and well for that performance."
