Ricky 'Hitman' Hatton is ready for another shot at the WBC welterweight title, after losing out to Floyd Mayweather in Saturday’s boxing clash.

More than 150 million people worldwide watched Ricky’s defeat at the fists of the reigning champion in the 10th round of the much-hyped showdown - dubbed the ‘Fight of the Century.’

However, the British sporting hero is already looking forward to a re-match.

He said: “Knock me down but I’ll keep coming back. Ricky Hatton is not finished. My pride is hurt more than the punches hurt. I thought I fought well.

“I thought I was in the fight but he had a good round. He got me.”

Promoters are rubbign their hands with glee at the prospect of having a big-bucks re-match on our screens by as early as next May.

An insider tells the Daily Star: “There’s plenty more left in the tank and we’re already looking at possible dates for a re-match clash.

“A lot of money needs to be on the table for both men to agree to it, but after the success of the TV audience last night I can’t see that being a problem.

“You will see Hatton and Mayweather in the ring again.”
