After going through a rocky patch, it appears that the ill-advised friendship between Britney Spears and Paris Hilton is well and truly back on.

The couple partied together at a Bel Air bash on Saturday night and – despite reports of a bust-up between the pair – the love-in continued on Sunday, Brit’s 26th birthday.

The renewed friendship left must have caught Paris by surprise too as she had to stop off to buy a birthday gift and wrapping paper on the way to her new pal's home.

Paris reportedly then spent the day with the pop mess and her family.

It'll probably be all over by tomorrow - which is just as well as we all know what happened when these two hooked up last time round.
