Delta Goodrem and Brian McFadden have confirmed they are engaged to be married - finally!

The couple, who have been dating ever since the collapse of the former Westlife's singer's marriage to Kerry Katona four years ago, made the announcement following reports Goodrem had turned down a proposal.

Their spokesperson confirms, "The couple were hoping to keep the news private however they feel it is important to now confirm the exciting news."

The couple relocated to Delta's native Australia twelve months ago with their attempts to reinvigorate their careers seeminhly faltering.
