Reese Witherspoon has been confirmed as the best-paid actress in Hollywood following her Oscar-winning turn in Johnny Cash bio-pic 'Walk The Line'.

According to top trade mag Hollywood Reporter the 31-year-old is now commanding £10 million per film, lifting her onto top spot from second place in last year's calculations.

Angelina Jolie has nothing to worry about however, she can reportedly earn the same figure but is placed second as she eshewed such astronomical figures for her work this year.

Last year's top-earner Nicole Kidman is now supplanted by third placed Cameron Diaz - who's now on £7.5 million per movie - with Renee Zellweger making up the top five.

Bad news for blondes Charlize Theron, Kirsten Dunst and Jennifer Aniston - they're all out of the top ten.
