Usher's Mom Calls Grandson 'Gift From God'

Usher's mother has labelled her new grandson a "gift from God".

Jonnetta Patton - who managed Usher up until the beginning of the year - has offered her congratulations to both her son and his wife.

"I'm extremely excited and filled with joy about the birth of my grandson, Usher Raymond V.

"He is beautiful, precious, healthy and such a blessing. I'm very happy for my son and his wife. God has truly blessed them with a special gift. This will be an amazing holiday season for all of us."

Tameka gave birth to the couple's son, who weighed a healthy 7lb 9oz, on Monday (November 26) in Atlanta, Georgia.

The couple said: "We are so happy and proud of our beautiful son. What a blessing!"

Usher, 29, and 36-year-old Tameka married in a secret ceremony in Atlanta on August 3. It is believed Jonnetta, 50, was not invited to the ceremony.
