Cheryl Cole 'Happy' England Crashed Out Of Euro 2008

Cheryl Cole has incurred the wrath of husband Ashley by telling him she’s pleased England failed to qualify for Euro 2008.

The Chelsea defender watched on from the substitute’s bench as England did the unthinkable and crashed out to Croatia at Wembley on Wednesday night - but Cheryl’s now happy because it means she can go on holiday early next summer.

She explained on Radio 1, “Ashley is gutted that England didn't qualify so it's not very good at home for me at the moment.

"But I just tell him to get over it and move on because at least now we can go on holiday early.

"That went down like a lead balloon, but I'm pleased we can go on holiday next summer."
