Nicolette Sheridan Jealous Of Desperate Housewives Rivals

Nicolette Sheridan would fly into a rage when she thought she was less popular than the other Desperate Housewives, according to her former fiance Niklas Soderblom.

The 42-year-old stuntman has cashed in on his brief association with somebody famous by penning a tell-all book, entitled Desperate Houseman.

Soderblom claims that Nicolette’s rivalry with co-stars Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria caused her to go into meltdown when she was left off posters advertising the show.

He says: "It was a competition. She was a middle-aged woman in Hollywood and deep down I am sure she sees Desperate Housewives as her last big break.

"She was devastated when the posters for the show showed the other four women, but not her. She started crying. She said she was sure the producers intended to ditch her character.

"She exploded. She screamed 'Don't you get it? Haven't you seen the posters? Teri, Marcia, Felicity, Eva... but no Nicolette. Do you get it? No Nicolette. They don't give a s**t about me. It's like I don't exist."

Soderblom also believes that Nicolette’s marriage to singer Michael Bolton is doomed because of her black moods.

He said: "There were things about Nicolette's behaviour that struck me as very strange from the start, but I let them go. I was in love with her and I thought I was Superman, that I could save her from herself. But the truth is she is a very troubled woman who could not be more different from (Desperate Housewives character) Edie. 

"Edie is a funny, flirty, sexy man-eater. Nicolette flirts and can be funny, but that's just to catch you. She likes the excitement and the challenge of landing a new man but it never lasts. She is just a lost, angry little girl who has never grown up.

"She didn't blame her problems on herself. She blamed them on me and she thought the way to deal with that was to move on to a new man. I feel very sorry for her because ultimately she is going to end up totally alone. She was very moody and people in the business warned me, 'She will break your heart.'"
