Singer, Diana Ross is the latest celebrity in a string of many who have sadly lost a parent this month.

Fred Ross passed away in Detroit, Michigan aged 87, although the cause of his death in unknown. Diana performed a sold-out show in Los Angeles hours after his passing.

At the end of the show, the soul legend told the audience of her loss, and then launched into the song I love You from her newest CD with the same name, dedicating it to her late father.

Other stars to have suffered the loss of a parent in recent weeks include Kanye West, Marie Osmond, Jane Seymour and Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
