Jude Law Losing Battle Of The Bald

Actor's receding hairline steals the show at Sleuth premiere...

Jude Law Losing Battle Of The Bald ...more Jude Law »

Jude Law revealed that he is losing the battle of the bald when he braved freezing temperatures with Sir Michael Caine to attend the UK premiere of Sleuth in London yesterday.

Jude’s new closely-cropped hair style meant there was no disguising his receding hairline as the two British stars greeted hundreds of screaming fans who had turned out to meet their idols, despite biting winds and pelting rain.

Law and Caine both thanked the crowds for taking on the elements and spent around 30 minutes signing autographs and posing for pictures.

Jude’s head must have been freezing!

The two actors were joined on the red carpet at the Odeon West End cinema by Sleuth director Kenneth Branagh, singer George Michael and his boyfriend Kenny Goss, former Rolling Stones star Bill Wyman and X-Men actor Patrick Stewart.

Branagh was full of praise for his two leading men, saying: "It's an honour to work with Michael Caine and Jude Law.

"To work with the pair of them is just a terrific combination. He added to BANG Showbiz:

"Michael has that movie star charisma - and so does Jude - in a way which just continues to surprise me."

Sleuth is a remake of the 1972 film which saw Caine play a young man who is having an affair with the wife of an older successful writer, originally played by screen legend Laurence Olivier.

The new movie - penned by acclaimed playwright Harold Pinter - sees 74-year-old Caine switch to the role of the older man, with 34-year-old Law taking Caine's original part.
