Jonathon Rhys-Meyers was arrested at an airport yesterday for breaching the peace.
The Henry VIII star - who was due to fly back to London after his appearance on RTÉ's Tubridy Tonight show on Saturday night – was refused boarding at Dublin airport at 2:30 (GMT).
One onlooker told The Sun that Meyers looked "worse for wear" and that he repeatedly told staff "I will get on this flight, no matter what."
The witness continued: "After he was told he couldn't fly he became very angry, and staff looked threatened.
"Cops took him away. The woman he had a go at was shaken - she was just doing her job."
The 30-year-old actor was later taken to the Whitehall Garda station where he was held and later charged with being drunk and disorderly and in breach of the peace of the Public Order Act.
He will be brought before Dublin District Court next month.
