Amy Winehouse has been singled out by the head of the United Nation's Drugs and Crime Office for 'glamorising' cocaine use.
Antonio Maria Costa singled out the singer, as well as supermodel Kate Moss, as symtomatic of a charity campaign happy celebrity culture, which then ignores the devastation the drug trade is having on developing nations.
He said, "Rock stars, like Amy Winehouse, become popular by singing 'I ain't going to rehab' even though she badly needed, and eventually sought, treatment."
Costa added that some impoverished West African nations are facing "complete collapse" due to South American drug bosses carving out new smuggling routes to Europe through the area.
What a load of rubbish - everyone knows it's all Pete Doherty's fault.
