Ewan McGregor Admits To Drink Problem

Star Wars actor Ewan McGregor has admitted he quit drinking seven years ago after admitting to a problem with alcohol.

The Scottish star, 36, says he felt obliged to give up booze after realising his life was falling apart.

He says, "I felt it was time to stop. I had drunk enough is the truth - I had my share, your share and everyone's share. There comes a point, and it was quite a clear point for me.

"Things were going to start going downhill with my work and every other aspect of my life. It was the thing that was expendable."

McGregor told chat show host Michael Parkinson, in an interview which can be seen on ITV1 tonight, that he had even started turned up to work drunk, and coping by drinking more on the job.

Only dart players can get away with that....
