J Lo's Pregnancy Scare

Jennifer Lopez has decided to slow down her hectic pace of life after she was alerted to a health scare which could have resulted in a miscarriage.

The Latino diva who recently announced her pregnancy and is rumoured to be carrying twins, has been instructed by doctors to take a break from the showbiz lifestyle after noticing blood spots in her urine and being taken to hospital as a result.

A source close to the star says, "She's petrified that something could go wrong (with her pregnancy). (The hospital visit) really shook her up. If she lost the babies, her life would be shattered."

And it’s not only the doctor who is concerned, J Lo’s mother Guadalupe has unsuccessfully been trying for months to get her daughter to slow down.

The insider adds, "Her mum's constantly been on the phone, telling her to calm down. Guadalupe's very no-nonsense and she's told Jen that she needs to take some time out of the limelight to enjoy her pregnancy and her babies when they arrive."
