Amy Winehouse has denied reports that she takes drugs, insisting she is "too busy" to be an addict.

The troubled singer - who was hospitalised for a drug overdose in August and arrested for marijuana possession last month – made the claims to an U.S. music publication.

The mag also describes how she slurred her words and fell asleep mid-sentence three times during the interview.

But Amy claims that her only vice is alcohol.

She tells Blender: "I don't have the time (for drugs)...I'm a really big drinker.

"I used to be there before the pub opened, banging on the door."
