OJ Simpson Denies Armed Robbery

A Las Vegas court yesterday heard OJ Simpson denying guns were used at an alleged robbery in September.

The preliminary hearing into the alleged robbery in the city's Palace Station Hotel by OJ and five other men heard a voicemail from the former American Football star to apparent victim Tom Riccio saying, "It's OJ. What are you talking about a gun? Nobody had a gun, you know ... they're trying to make up something."

Simpson, 60, faces eight charges against him, including kidnapping, assault and robbery with a deadly weapon following the incident over supposedly stolen sports memorabilia.

He faces spending the rest of his life in jail if found guilty, an institution some would say he should already be in following the as-yet-unsolved murder of his estranged wife and her boyfriend.
