Britney Spears’ public image may be in tatters but her career certainly isn’t, with predictions already in that her new album Blackout will soar to number one.
Her latest material– which is the 25-year-olds first studio album since 2003’s In The Zone – sold an estimated 124,000 copies on the first days of its release (November 2).
According to Nielsen SoundScan and Billboard figures the album - which has received mixed reviews - is set to bump Carrie Underwood’s Carnival Ride off the number one slot on the Billboard 200 charts, giving the Toxic singer her fifth number one album.
Spears label Jive is also predicting that Blackout will sell between 330,000-350,000 copies next week.
Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show, the pop-tart claims her favorite Blackout track is Heaven on Earth,
"It's a cool track. It's like" said Spears "I love the producers who did that and it's kind of different from all the other songs."
