Amy Winehouse has blamed her heavy drinking and hard-partying on feeling insecure about her looks.

The 24-year-old Rehab singer - who reportedly collapsed from a drug overdose in August - confesses to being driven by demons in everything she does.

She says, "I'm quite an insecure person. I'm very insecure about the way I look. I mean, I'm a musician not a model. The more insecure I felt, the more I'd drink.

She also reveals that there is a direct relationship between her feelings of insecure over her appearance and the size of her impressive barnet. 

She says: "And to (my hairdresser) Tracy Trash, I'd be like, 'Bigger! Bigger! - like the more insecure I feel, the bigger my hair has to be."

Last Friday singer spent a night in the cells after being arrested for possession of cannabis before a show in Bergen, Norway.
