Britney Spears 'Distraught' After Counselling Session

New reports have emerged claiming that Britney Spears left her first court appointed counselling session with ex Kevin Federline in utter shambles.

The former couple – who haven’t seen each other alone since their split 11 months ago – met at the Beverly Hills Hotel yesterday and marked the first of a six-week course that Spears is required fulfil as part of the pair's ongoing child custody battle.

Although earlier reports suggest Spears “was looking forward to the meeting,” an eyewitness at the swank hotel claims otherwise.

“Britney was inconsolable” claims the source “She was sobbing in the toilet cubicle and couldn’t be calmed down.”

Spears being ordered to attend parenting classes is one of many requirements that Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon ordered the pop-star to fulfil.

Both Spears and Federline are due back in court Friday (October 26) where the pop-tart will reportedly push for reinstatement of her original 50/50 custody agreement.
