Heroes co-stars Milo Ventimiglia and Hayden Panettiere have denied any romantic involvement - but that hasn’t stopped him from splashing out on a ring for the pint-sized hottie.

The man who plays Peter Petrilli in the hit show splashed out on an expensive ring as a belated birthday present to the cheerleader, reports In Touch Weekly.

The jewelers that provided the ring were Tiffany & Co. and the ring is reportedly an 18-karat yellow-gold ring, worth US $1,950.

The ring, called Somerset Heart, features a woven band and a heart, and according to the insider, is inscribed with writing saying Sweet like Hayden.

But are they really just friends?
