Sharon Osbourne has admitted that she would still like to be a judge on X Factor, despite quitting from the role on Saturday. However reports have now emerged claiming that ITV have not contacted her since her dramatic exit from the show.
Having stormed out after her two acts Kimberly Southwick and Alisha Bennett ended up in the bottom two on Saturday’s results show - Sharon now wants to attend to her two remaining performers.
Speaking on the Paul O’Grady show, she says: “I don’t even know if ITV want me back. I want to go back to take care of my girls but I haven’t heard from anyone.”
However, according to the Daily Mirror, sources at ITV have a conflicting view with the wife of rocker Ozzy: “Frankly everyone is a bit surprised that the first time we hear from her is on a TV show. She’s the one that walked out – surely she should be contacting us.”
A spokeswoman for X Factor was more liberal about matters: “To date we, her employers, have not received any calls direct from Sharon to discuss whether she will be returning to the show. Like any family, we have our ups and downs and we looks forward to welcoming her back on Saturday. We are sure her acts will be delighted to have their mentor back.”
Sharon added: “I am what I am. I’d never ever claim to be perfect. I’m not. I’ve made mistakes – I’ve made huge mistakes. I made one on Saturday, but it’s me, it’s what you get. I can’t apologise for being me.”
