Hollywood heartthrob Tom Cruise charmed fans at the London premiere of his new film Lions For Lambs last night.
The 45-year-old spent two-and-a-half-hour working the red carpet at the Leicester Square venue, but all that came with a hefty price.
Organizers at the event banned live TV interviews and searched bags to check for any devices that could have caused the Top Gun star similar embarrassment to the 2006 London premiere of his film War of the Worlds, where he was squirted with a water pistol during a live interview.

Cruise attended the premiere minus wife Katie Holmes and their 18-month-old daughter Suri who remain in New York.
The new flick – which is set in Afghanistan - sees Cruise play a US senator alongside a stellar cast of Meryl Streep and Robert Redford.
The pint-sized actor claims that his new project will set tongues wagging.
"This is an examination of society, of politics, of people's choices in life” he told Sky News “I think it's a film that allows the audience to participate in that. It's a film you should be having a dialogue about."
