Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was served with legal papers on Friday night relating to a lawsuit claiming he ordered three bodyguards to attack a music promoter.
Diddy was walking into his NYC Sean John clothing store when the plaintiff attempted to hand him the papers but his bodyguards quickly hit them to the ground as Combs continued to walk inside - with one minder swiftly returning to collect the papers.
James Walson, who filed the suit, alleges that he tried to introduce himself to the rap mogul at The Box club in New York on June 1 2007, when a member of Diddy’s entourage hit him in the face, and two others hit and kicked him.
The 27-year old claims that he was left with mouth and teeth injuries and wants US $4 million in damages from Combs and his entourage and a further US $500,000 from The Box club.
This is only the beginning of Diddy’s legal woes with the mogul facing claims he was involved in an altercation with a man at New York's Kiosk nightclub on October 13.
Combs is also being sued by a former associate who claims the rap superstar owes him US $19 million for music recorded by the late Notorious B.I.G.
