They may have been careful to keep their distance on the red carpet, but away from the flash-bulbs, Gyllenspoon is reportedly heating up again.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon were spied engaging in a spot of public canoodling as they took in the sights of Rome over the weekend, where they are promoting new movie, Rendition.

Perhaps the pair were consoling each other over the disapointing performance of their movie at the US box office.

Rendition opened in 9th place over the weekend, taking in just $4.1 million.

Hopefully they have better chemistry off-screen.
