Shar Jackson has denied she was attacking Britney Spears with her comments about the Video Music Awards last week.
The former girlfriend of Britney's ex-husband Kevin Federline suggested during a performance on MTV’s Celebrity Rap Superstar, "They should have had me open up the VMAs," which was interpreted as a sleight on Britney's much criticised curtain-raising performance.
However, Jackson denies her rap was aimed at the troubled singer and former love rival.
"It wasn’t about Britney," Jackson explains. "Honestly, I would have been better though. I’ve been performing my butt off on this show, and I’m already on MTV, so why didn’t I get the job?"
