Pete Doherty was allowed to miss a court date in London yesterday to play a gig in Paris instead.

District Judge Jane McIvor adjourned the proceedings telling the court: “I understand he is in France on tour.”

Doherty should have been at the hearing to review his progress on a drugs rehab order, the hearing will now take place next Wednesday.

In the past Judge McIvor has allowed Doherty to play a gig for fans outside court and praised Babyshambles’ track ‘The Blinding’ saying, “It’s a good tune, but I’m not sure about the words”.

Doherty will also be in court next Friday when he could face a jail sentence for drugs and motoring offences.
