Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis can breathe a sigh of relief (for once) - a lawsuit filed by two underage girls accusing him of using explicit footage of the pair without their consent has been dropped.
Francis was jailed earlier this year for using steamy video footage showing 17-year-olds Brooke Patsolic and Christina Brose in the shower for his adult movie series in 2003.
But the two teenagers - who lied on camera about their age and showed fake IDs - have agreed to end to their legal battle with Francis after further video evidence contradicted the girls' claims that they were taken advantage of.
In a statement to TMZ, Patsolic and Brose say they have "agreed to dismiss our lawsuit", adding, "Girls Gone Wild and Joe Francis have suffered as a result of this law suit (sic) and our actions."
Responding to the news, Francis says, "I am prepared to fight back, and I will defend myself against all baseless accusations."
This is far from the end of Francis’ legal woes – he is currently being held in a Nevada jail on charges of performing sex with a minor and being party to a tax fraud of $20 million.
