Julia Roberts has won the prestigious American Cinematheque award, just one year after presenting it to pal George Clooney.
The Oscar-winning actress joined a long-list of celebrated former winners including Steven Spielberg, Al Pacino and Nicole Kidman in front of a Beverly Hills audience including Tom Hanks and Natalie Portman.
The mother of three, whose output has vastly reduced since becoming a family woman, used her acceptance speech to have a gentle dig at modern Hollywood, saying, “I think I came along at a kinder time in the business
“It wasn’t about fashion, and there weren’t so many media outlets, it was just kind of different. You could really cultivate your work a little more gently.”
