Bobby Brown Denies Heart Attack Claims

Bobby Brown has denied claims that he suffered a mild heart attack on Tuesday (October 9) and insists he went to the hospital for a checkup.

The 38-year-old – who was reportedly taken to Tarzana Regional Medical Center in California by his manager/girlfriend Alicia Etheredge after he suffered light chest pain – has rubbished the claims on the Associated Press Radio. 

"None of it's true," Brown said. "I went in for a checkup. The doc gave me a clean bill of health."

He repeated: "I did go to the hospital ... to just get a checkup, get everything tested out so that I could go on this tour, and everything is fine," Brown said.

"I don't know where the heart attack thing came from. I got my heart and everything checked out earlier this morning, and I'm just fine."

Brown's statement differs to that of his Atlanta attorney, Phaedra Parks, who told the AP that Brown was taken to hospital Tuesday night after suffering chest pains. 

She said: "This morning they did diagnose him as suffering from a mild heart attack ... they attributed to stress and diet."

His manager/girlfriend also echoed these sentiments, telling the press: “He's recovering nicely. We thank everybody for their thoughts and prayers. We really appreciate the outpouring of support."

Brown is expected to be perform at the V100 Taste Of Soul concert in Los Angeles on Saturday.
