Just hours after her public meltdown, Britney Spears has revealed to the press that she is “happy.”

The pop mess – who lost physical custody of her two sons Sean Preston, 2 and Jayden James, 1 on Monday (October 1) - emerged from a L.A. eatery last night clutching her Yorkshire terrier and declaring her love for the press.

“I’m so happy” Spears told the swarm of paparazzi outside her car “I love you guys.”

This latest episode is a stern contrast to the Toxic stars public meltdown which occurred just hours beforehand.

The mother-of-two was snapped leaving a Ralph’s supermarket in Los Angeles looking irate as paparazzi fought to get her in frame.

Spears - who was ordered by a Los Angeles judge to undergo drugs and alcohol testing as well as counselling during three separate hearings - is due back in court alongside ex Kevin Federline on October 26.
