Cheryl Cole: I Blocked Ashley's Real Madrid Move

Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole has revealed she's responsible for her soccer star husband Ashley's transfer to Chelsea - after she blocked a move to Real Madrid.

The singer refused to allow the England defender to move to the Spanish club from Arsenal as she feared that moving to a new country would ruin her pop career.

She tells GQ magazine, "He has always told me never to talk about this, but I think people should know.

"Ashley was offered a hell of a lot of money to go...the deal was there on the table. I stopped him living his dream playing out there. It made things difficult.

"Why should all my dreams and aspirations be shattered for the sake of his career? It would have meant that I'd have had to give up my career, which I wasn't prepared to do."

Guess that's Girl Power in action.
