OJ Simpson has been filed with eight charges against him including kidnapping, assault and robbery with a deadly weapon, according to the AP. If he is found guilty, his sentence may be life in jail.

The 60-year old was arrested on Saturday after having been connected with an armed robbery of sports memorabilia at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino. Simpson claims that the memorabilia is actually his and he was trying to attain what was rightfully his in the first place.

Two other men who were his associates in the crime have also been arrested, and claim the same reason as Simpson as to why they were involved in the robbery.

Simpson's lawyer Yale Galanter told AP: "If it was anyone other than O.J. Simpson, he would have been released by now. You can't rob something that is yours. O.J. said, 'You've got stolen property. Either you return it or I call the police.'"
