An audio tape of O.J. Simpson’s forcible removal of sports memorabilia from a Las Vegas hotel room – allegedly at gunpoint – looks set to finally nail the shamed former NFL star.

In the audio tape – believed to have been made by the part-owner of an auction house who tipped off O.J. that his memorabilia was being sold – the ex-footballer appears to be the ring-leader of a gang threatening others in the room.

O.J. is heard to shout: “Don’t let anybody out this room…think you can steal my shit and sell it? Up against the wall!”

He now faces two charges of robbery with a deadly weapon, two of assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit a crime and burglary with a firearm – charges that, if proven, could see him spend the rest of his life in jail.

O.J. is currently being held without bail in Las Vegas and is due in court on Thursday.
