Pete Doherty has avoided time in jail this morning (August 7th) after his sentencing was delayed for a further month.
The Babyshambles frontman was appearing at West London Magistrates Court charged with possessing cannabis, crack cocaine, heroin and ketamine when he was arrested on Kensington High Street, in London on May 5th.
Doherty who arrived at this morning's hearing half an hour early - had already had his sentencing postponed at an earlier court appearance when District Judge Davinder Lachlar ordered him to go into rehab to try and kick his addiction.
At todays hearing, Judge Lachlar once again delayed the singers sentencing by a month on the assumption that he will continue his rehabilitation.
The Judge stated, however, that whatever happens over the next four weeks, Doherty will face a community order and prison, if he fails to adhere to the stipulations.
Judge Lachlar then went on to suggest that Doherty perhaps spend time with his family over the next month.
