Last September, John Travolta added fuel to rumours about his sexual orientation when he was snapped locking lips with his male nanny.

At the time, his lawyer explained away the kiss as a "customary, non-romantic gesture" � and now John Waters has backed up this claim.

When Gatecrasher asked the director of the original Hairspray film about Travolta�s kissy-kissy tendancies, he responded with: "He kissed me hello, he kisses everybody!"

So that�s settled then.
