TV star Chris Langham groomed a 14-year-old girl for sex before repeatedly molesting her, a court heard yesterday.
It was claimed that the comic actor lured the youngster � who he first met when she asked for his autograph outside a theatre where he was appearing - with gifts and stays in five-star hotel rooms.
It is alleged that the star of �In The Thick Of It� befriended the schoolgirl and had sex with her in his dressing room, hotel suites, his home and car between January 1996 and April 1998.
Prosecutor Richard Barraclough, QC, said: �This case concerns allegations of the grooming and systematic abuse by a 47-waer-old man of a 14-year-old girl.�
When the girl went to the police, investigators raided Langham�s home and found sex videos and child porn on the actor�s computer.
Langham denies ten counts of indecently assaulting an underage girl and two counts involving an unnatural sex act.
He has also pleaded not guilty to fifteen charges of downloading indecent photographs of children.
