Hollywood stars Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are to start writing again for the first time in a decade.

The pair won an Oscar for their �Good Will Hunting� script back in 1998, propelling them from unknowns to household names virtually overnight.

The actor�s careers have gone in differing directions since the drama, which they acted in alongside Robin Williams.

Matt Damon has found success in films such as the �Bourne� trilogy, the �Ocean�s 11� films and gritty dramas such as �The Good Shepard� and �The Departed�.

Affleck has not had such an easy ride. Despite enjoying a degree of success with action films such as �Armageddon�, the actor has seen his credibility suffer with box office flops such as �Gigli�, �Pearl Harbour� and �Jersey Girl�.

It�s also believed his relationship with Jennifer Lopez saw his status as an actor plummet, although he recently turned in a critically-lauded performance as George Reeves in �Hollywoodland�.

Damon�s spokesperson commented: �That's their plan. Whether or not they are doing it right now, I don't know�.
